ReWarm Digital Library of District Heating (ReWarm Digital Library) is an open-access information platform providing digital documents, analytics, and other up-to-date information about ecosystem participants, news, and events related to district heating in Ukraine. The ReWarm Digital Library serves as a knowledge base, performing the following functions: provides centralized access to current data, analytical materials, and other resources related to district heating; supports professional development by granting access to educational materials, guidelines, and best practices; facilitates knowledge and experience exchange among district heating sector stakeholders, including government bodies, research institutions, businesses, and the public; promotes innovative solutions in district heating and energy efficiency; offers open access to regulations, standards, reports, case studies, and other information crucial for the sustainable development of Ukraine’s district heating sector. All these efforts are aimed at creating an information ecosystem that will support the implementation of strategic reforms in district heating and Ukraine’s integration into the global energy efficiency context.

The creation of this portal is the result of a joint effort by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Yaroslav Mudryi National Library of Ukraine. In addition to serving as a knowledge base, the portal highlights the latest news and events in the field of district heating and provides an up-to-date directory of participants in this ecosystem. One of the key components of ReWarm is enabling stakeholders to share relevant resources by uploading them to the website. The Yaroslav Mudryi National Library of Ukraine is responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of all the portal’s databases, ensuring search functionality and cross-referencing to various sources and organizations.

The ReWarm portal, as a unique and sought-after resource among Ukrainian and international experts, local government representatives, district heating entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders, is designed to enhance public awareness regarding the implementation of district heating systems in Ukraine and the promotion of energy efficiency.
